$2,500 worth of a bad idea

Look everyone, a $2500 RX8 that only needs JUST a battery. What could possibly go wrong?

@mm54 hahaha. From what I’ve seen yes. With a fresh engine rebuild an RX-8 is a pretty fun car for another 30-60,000 km. And then time to yank the block for more fun / reliability.

I very much enjoy my rx7 but they really screwed up the Renesis in the 8 to get it emissions compliant.

I still wish there was an easy way to swap a 2.3/2.5 MZR or duratec into one of these. I know it defeats the RX part of the car but I suspect it’s still be a hoot.
