Solstice Sunset: What you got?
-
I know the sunset on the solstice isn't necessarily the earliest one, but it's close enough. How is the Big Dark for everyone? Here the sunset will be at 4:01pm today. Thankfully, it only gets better from here.
-
Sunset was a few minutes earlier last week, but is already migrating later. Sunrise migrated up a bit too. I think Spokane has the earliest sunsets of any actual city in this time zone.
This area seems to be a goldmine for sunsets, I see images online without even searching for them.
-
5:03 PM today.
-
@pos_camaro it’s grey, dark, gloomy and pouring here. No chance of a sunset, unfortunately.
-
4:24 tonight, but it will be overcast, as it has been for most of the previous few weeks.
-
4:15 here. I won't miss these short days, and continue my feelings that Massachusetts would do better to just be on Atlantic time year round.
-
4:18, not terrible.
-
Sunset will be at 16:44 hrs.
However, sunrise was at 09:03 hrs.
-
@fintail I'll confess that the picture is actually one I took in Kauai last year. It's the best sunset picture I have! With our typical December seeing the sunset can be hard.
-
@shop-teacher That pretty much sums up December, overcast and gray.
-
@vondon302 Five o'clock! That's almost bearable!
-
@pos_camaro Yep. Also January and February.
-
@pos_camaro I don't think we are going to see the sun until wednesday.
-
am I doing this right?
-
One advantage of being on the far western fringe of a timezone: it doesn't set until 5:23 today.
Really we should be on Central time, but whatever. I'm happy to have a very late sunset during the summer.

@carbon-fiber-sasquatch Close enough!

@carbon-fiber-sasquatch

-
@trivet Ah! I thought sunset was in reference to the color! My mistake!
-
Almost there.
