A friend of mine recently visited a property of a hoarder with over 80 utterly ruined, formerly beautiful cars. He gave me permission to share, so here is a selection of the pictures he sent me.

Neat. Nothing that can really be saved, but there's something cool about old abandoned stuff.

It's sad to see them in such disrepair but there is an eerie beauty to their decay. Abandoned things and places can take on a life of their own. Those pictures remind me a lot of Old Car City USA.

              Same here, just smaller.

Hoarding is a mental illness. But hoarding cars without a proper outbuilding is a damned crime.

Sadly, most of this material had its collectible day in the sun some time ago, so even if the hoarder went to the big junkyard in the sky, few of these would be saved. Probably some useful unobtanium trim pieces here and there anyway.

As far as I can tell, no Jeeps were harmed in the making of this film, so I’m ok with it.

@fintail Oh, these are all way too far gone to be saved. Parts cars only.

Agreed. There was one '57 Chevy sedan in a garage that looks savable. Everything else is a parts car at best.

Yup... If someone is gonna acquire a car and they don't at least have a paved spot to park it on, they should have no business acquiring it.

Letting a car sit in dirt is a great way to make it worthless in no time.
