Nice rust hole in these seat backings, Spent a couple hours getting everything close, then went back in with Dolleys to attempt smoothing. Finally picked up an English wheel but its missing the dies necessary to smooth that tighter corner. Still helped bring a nice curve to both edges
Lots of sanding later:
And here's a bit that went through the same process, painted.
Also, made the mistake of coating the underside of the hood in por15 to save time from dealing with the surface rust. BIG mistake, I laid it on too strong and had tons of runs. Fun fact: por does not sand well nor does paint like adhering to it, its turned into a huge hassel trying to salvage that. -
Magic!

Nice work! I need to commission you for some wheel arches.

Well you used a English wheel and didn't smash any fingers so successful day.

@sony1492 you have to buy their POR15 self etching primer I believe.

@sony1492 That’s some dang good work right there, you are an inspiration! Can I come over and play with the English wheel? I may make one desktop size for Rc body panels. I’ve never used one, but am surprised at how excited I am to try.

@st80mnd Mini English wheel would be really cool, probably take a bit of lathe work to make your rollers.
You could try it if your in Norcal
