I'm finding having time off work more stressful than just going to work. The situation is dire due to another wave of COVID hitting our hospital and I have to solve the same problems as if I was working, except now I have to do it from home and without proper tools (as I'm not allowed remote access to my work computer). I fucking hate it.

And I can't just not take time off work because in my country you're legally required to have 2 weeks of uninterrupted time off work annualy and I'm kinda running out of 2020 here.

      Here's the promised Volga:

That's a real bummer. I'm in California, and seeing people all around me at work getting Covid (we're averaging at least 1 per day right now). I have medical problems, but can't miss any time because we're running out of people to cover open shifts, and we have to be staffed at all times to maintain operations.

I've already given up the possibility of being at home for Christmas or New Years this year. It just ain't gonna happen.

        But hey, cool Volga!

That Volga is awesome...always loved the crazy translucent gauge 'pod' on those...

didn't know you weren't even allowed not to remote into your work laptop....I presume that means you can't bring it home either...?

Yeah, COVID numbers are rising here, but luckily here in Nova Scotia not as much as other places. There is a mini-lockdown in place, so to speak, at the moment. School break for the Holidays just got extended by about 1.5 weeks.

@rallydarkstrike I can bring it home, but it's mostly useless without a connection to the hospital network. The software I need isn't kept locally on computers. 😞
