The emblem of my wheel cover fell off (or was stolen)
-
One day I approached my car and noticed the BMW emblem on one of my wheels was gone. Considering how beat up it looks it doesn't surprise me. Apparently the previous owner didn't own a BBS wheel cover removal tool and you can see the witness marks of someone beating on this to get it off.
After a few months driving without one of the wheel covers I finally found one for sale and immediately bought it. It came off an E38 and was in better condition.
But I haven't been able to wash my car in months and now my wheel is so covered in brake dust that it looks like a WW1 figher pilot who took his googles off:

@melissa I loved those wheels on my former E39, but I do not miss cleaning them.
-
@ita97 Keeping them clean is awful! But my god they MAKE the look of the E39 and I love them so much.
-
@melissa Just let the center cap get dirty, job done!
-
That must feel so good to have found one!
There must be a good brush for cleaning those crevasses. Paging Svend, Svend to the courtesy phone please...
-
@melissa in the picture it actually looks like you did it on purpose, and doesn't look bad.
I guess the other three wheels give the secret away though

@shop-teacher Haha. I prefer the stock look. The brake dust made me considering painting my wheels dark gray but then I remember what it should look like and that idea gets immediately scratched.
-
@melissa that is a very dirty wheel
