An old one, but I figure it's worthy of reposting to new Oppo...

Corolla gonna Corolla

At least it didn't (Co) Roll (ov) A.
-
@whoistheleader Eh, if it had, no big loss
-
I once blew out both front tires by driving across a concrete median at dusk. Hadn't been painted in who knows how many years, and I took a tight left turn at the intersection at a nice, rapid del Sol clip.
Boy, that was embarrassing. I'm just lucky all I had to do was replace two tires.

That's hilarious, and yeah, I may've acci-hopped a curb or two...
-
Oooooh man I have a knack for missing one-way signs. How many times I've come face to face with another car is... mildly alarming. It's not every day but its also no NOT every day.

Yeah, the most irritating thing about this for me is the fact that I came veeeery close to doing this myself once when I was new to the game.
HAHA WHAT AN IDI- tugs collar

@Smallbear could have been an Australian at the wheel too.
-
@silentbutnotreallydeadly Could be, but Occam's razor suggests "Corolla driver doing Corolla driver things" as the most likely scenario

Why do you suggest Australian, when there are far more Brits in the world and even more Japanese, or Indian?
-
@just-jeepin Friend of mine in high school did that with his Saab, turning out of a diner in Quakertown at night. Wheels were fine, but the exhaust was trashed.

Because we are awesome at making heroic decisions in the absence of knowledge and common sense...and own them. The British have to be pissed to do that and the Japanese are far too polite to admit such a thing was possible. If the punter was Indian then they would (very politely and in a completely impractical manner) stop halfway and then get out and apologize.
Therefore, Australian. However, dumbfuck American is an excellent substitute. There's shitloads more of them than us.

@silentbutnotreallydeadly
Lol. I'm going to stay out of this one, but God did I laugh.
Nought wrong with Aussies and Kiwis though.
Drivers on the wrong side of the road down there tend to be foreign tourists quite often. -
@svend my late stepfather crashed our farm ute into a Nissan Pathfinder back in the day just down the road from the house as a result of him spending the preceding four months in Arizona with my brother's family. He drifted a corner on the windy valley road then forgot he was in Australia when oncoming traffic arrived. We were all in the pool when we heard the local rural Fire service pager go off regarding the accident...and promptly ignored it. When we found out it was him then we had to go and attend...the biggest issue of which was not fighting the mad son of the woman he'd run into...

@bison78 idiots in Toyotas doing dumb things is about as Australian as kangaroos.
