      I've spent a little on refreshing my #content making equipment. I'm hoping to try and use my gopro(s) to try and make more interesting time lapses, videos and gifs. Should be interesting.

      I wish I knew of some HD Gif making software as that is my favorite medium for some reason.

          @nomdeplume I'd prefer something online but am open to paid software on windows 10. I just want to make HD high framerate short gifs

            My strategy for making gifs is to create it in a video editor and export it as an MOV, then upload it to https://cloudconvert.com/ which is this beautiful website that converts pretty much anything to pretty much anything (MOV to GIF) with really high quality!

            This site doesn't do gifs yet, but if it did I'd show you. It's how I made my old profile pic move back on Kinja.

              @CarsOfFortLangley For linking to gif on Oppo I'd start here. If that isn't feature rich enough let us know what you wish it did so we can suggest the best option. There are tons of sites and software that let you make a gif. You still need to host it afterwards (or expend server resources by uploading it here).

              Also gif work just fine here. Maybe not for profile pics? Gifv are nowhere near as friendly anywhere on the web. The site I linked to makes links that work very good here inside posts and as thumbnails.

                  @nomdeplume Huh, I couldn't get my own gifs to work. Did you have to embed them with code or did you just upload it from your computer?

                    @Taylor-Martin

                    I copy a link as such ( https://thumbs.gfycat.com/SaltyKaleidoscopicFishingcat-size_restricted.gif ) ending in .gif. Then click on the add photo button in the post editor and insert it where it asks for a url to be placed.

                    Et Voila

                      @nomdeplume Ah, maybe that's my issue. I've been trying to upload gifs straight from my desktop... experiment time:

                        You can upload them from your computer as well so far as I know. A few hundred kb's won't kill the server here. Larger gif's being hosted elsewhere would be appreciated I'm sure.
