Well it's been four years, time for a facelift.

Ford Fiesta facelift.
Prices will start at £16,600 in the U.K.
The current gen out since 2017 is getting a subtle facelift.
Current
Facelift
The Trend can be had as a base 74bhp, 1.1,
The ST-Line 99bhp, 1.0T Ecoboost,
The ST-3 can be had with a 197bhp, 1.5Ecoboost engine.
Top of the range is of course the Vignale.
*each model will come with more of a range of engines, etc... -
@svend I think I like the old one better, but it always takes me a little while to get used to the new model.
The St-3 is awesome. I am bummed they stopped offering the Fiesta ST in states. I guess I picked the Abarth over a Fiesta anyway, but I did think about getting one when I got my first Abarth in 2015.

WTF. This boggles the mind of North Americans

" plus a ‘Vignale Relationship Manager’
"phrasing"
-
@carsoffortlangley isn't this what Hyundai tried with Genesis before the full separation? I have heard Vignale's not been the greatest of successes for Ford
-
@svend
Looks good. It follows the trend toward bigger grilles without getting out of hand. -
Oh look, another little tossable hatch that isn't available here. I do like me a fun hatch.
grumble grumble
If only there was a market!
But noooooo, only CUVs for us.
-
@carsoffortlangley
The Vignale is a premium package that if I recall gets you a concierge like assist.
The Vignale is offered in the Fiesta, Focus (will be discontinued soon) Mondeo (Fusion), Kuga (Escape), Galaxy, S-Max,
@amoore100
Ye', Ford said they will discontinue the Focus Vignale. -
@thebarber Whoa, is the Jazz not the same as the Fit anymore?
-
@svend I like it. I've always like the large hex mesh grilles that Ford does.
-
The Fit/Jazz is currently discontinued for North America after the current gen 3 here. The 4th Gen technically came out in 2019 in Europe and Japan. Honda in North America has been phoning it in with the Gen 3 since. Not sure how that's going to impact the all new HR-V but it should have the same styling cues as the 4th Gen Fit/Jazz since its the same platform.
-
@thebarber
Regrettably the 3 door hatch is dying out but the 5 door hatch is still common.
-
@svend Lots of discussion, but I didn't get past the first line "Ford are..."
Certainly one of the interesting ways in which the English language has splintered over the centuries. Not sure that "Ford is" is correct even in American English, but it is what I would write and say.
Then again, my English education ended early, I went the technical route in school where Greek letters and symbols were more prevalent....
-
@svend I'd love to try out an i30 N. It's so much more appealing than the Veloster N.
-
@houstonrunner
I apologise profusely.
It may not of been the correct diction. Merely how I typed it at the time.
The line has been edited. -
@frinesi2
I find the i30 N curious as it's available as a regular tailgate hatchback,
and a liftback hatchback.
I don't like the Veloster, one door on one side, two on the other, thing.
On the Mini Clubvan and Fiat 500 3+1 it's just a little suicide door on one side which looks okay.
-
@svend I'm not even sure you were wrong! That is how crazy our language has become.
-
@houstonrunner
I was wrong, as Ford have already done the facelift so past tense of 'Ford has given the Ford Fiesta a facelift', would of more correct. -
@svend i love the engine range goes from 74 to 99 to 197 hp
-
@hammerheadfistpunch
Ye', here it's not about outright performance for the majority, it's about what's practical and value for money.
For new drivers they won't be able to get insurance on a large engine vehicle, smaller engines tend to be more fuel efficient, etc...
But others want the performance while still having something practical for daily driving, street parking, etc...
The VW Polo can be had with anything from a 76bhp 1.0 Life to a 204bhp 2.TSi GTi+,
-
@svend yeah, on DTW they were outlining its failures recently and I think it comes down to the upcharge for a name that doesn't even have that much equity. Why buy Vignale when Titanium is good enough?
-
@amoore100
Exactly. A Vignale for the Mondeo, Galaxy and S-Max maybe, you know for like business execs transport but certainly not for a Fiesta, Focus, Kuga, etc... -
Not bad, the current one is really good, as was the one before it. I think I'd take an older one and swap in the newer jeweled taillamps, calling it good from there.
-
@svend I think they just flipped the grill upside down and made it smiley instead of frowny.
-
@svend this makes me sad. Because Ford won’t sell it to me. But they’ll still sell me an Eco sport if I’m stupid enough to want that.
