@forsweden This is way better than any pod at Northeastern.
-
-
@forsweden Maybe I’ll take a look. Only about 15 minutes from my house.
-
@forsweden The fact that this doesn't have a real NSN on the tag has me very disappointed
-
Excuse me, sir, we hear you may be interested in isopods

@forsweden Is car:
-
@facw beep beep
-
@forsweden only contains trace amounts of mutagens!
-
@mybirdistheword I'd be more worried we were torturing prisoners by locking them in this thing for days at a time.
-
@facw you have to be still in order to be sensory deprived, so I don't think you'd have to worry about that. They'll just lock you in a concrete box.

Story time!
I met a fellow who was living the yuppie life back in the '80s. He worked for a high-end art dealer, so he was hobnobbing with the wealthy socialites in Dallas. Here's how he described a "typical" weekend.
Fridays started as a normal day, but the afternoon would blend into the evening as the socialites gathered at the gallery. They started the festivities at an expensive restaurant, then spend the rest of the evening going from one bar to another, drinking and doing drugs all night. After breakfast the next morning, he would go to his late-morning appointment at the local spa where he would spend an hour sleeping in a sensory deprivation tank. He said an hour in there was worth 8 hours of sleep. That afternoon, everyone would meet up and start partying again, drinking and doing drugs until Sunday morning. By then, everyone was feeling pretty rough, so they'd go home and go to bed, usually sleeping until it was time to get up for work Monday morning.
Do I believe they did that every weekend? No. And as abhorrent as it all sounds, I've always wanted to take a snooze in one of those tanks. I'd like to see if an hour in there was a restful as he claimed.

Here's your chance!

@forsweden Just need to hook up a couple of jet engines and some repulsorlifts and you've got yourself a podracer!
-
Made in England...
-
@forsweden I see some potential for a Sensory-Deprivation-Mobile :
-
@bicyclebuck I believe these were a bit of a health fad that sort of petered out in the early-mid 90s, 80s was probably the peak of popularity.

But they took the prisoners out before selling so there won't be anything left over.

@forsweden strap some wheels on that bad boy, and you've got yourself a new Toyota concept vehicle.
