Fun fact: the first time I got to drive an automatic transmission equipped vehicle after more than five years with a manual transmission work fleet...I couldn't get it to go. A colleague who was a timid driver was my incredulous rescuer. It was a Toyota Camry...

@ttyymmnn I have, luckily, never done that one but I have kicked many firewalls heading for a clutch that wasn't there. I also instinctively will move to put a car in neutral when I come to a stop light

@pip-bip This is pathetic but also fine by me. I worked as a valet for a lot of years and we always made sure to have at least one person that could drive a stick but most could not...

As an enthusiast, and knower of what can happen when you valet your car, I don't. On the off chance that I have to valet, I ready a larger than normal tip and politely ask where I can park myself.
