For many hours i assume.
Iroh got into a fight a few days ago i didn't think anything of it until he started to smell bad. gave him a bath today and discovered this
It was completely covered up. Had no idea. The wait is estimated at 4 hours with an angry kitty in a too small carrier. This will be a treat

@hammerheadfistpunch
Glad you caught it before it got too bad! -
@hammerheadfistpunch Ouch! Poor kitty.
-
@hammerheadfistpunch I don't envy you, but glad it will be addressed before the infection got worse. Good luck.
-
@hammerheadfistpunch UPDATE: still a 4-hour wait, but they want me to spend most of it in the car, which means letting him out of his too-small carrier and having him wander around the cruiser. Thankfully it's pretty great weather and with the window nets, I can let enough airflow through that we aren't baking. Plus very good 5g and plenty of power for the computer.

@hammerheadfistpunch good luck! I had a similar one with our old dog. She got bit right on her snout, not enough skin to stitch back together there, so just ended up with a jagged scar, the poor thing. Didn't even fight back. Miss that dog

@hammerheadfistpunch Ouch. Looks like something that should hopefully be easy enough to treat once he gets in with the vet.
-
@hammerheadfistpunch ouch! Poor kitty. I hope he has a speedy recovery.

@hammerheadfistpunch
I hope once you get in, it'll be a quick clean, dress, meds and out and hope he's not too worse for wear and makes a full recovery. -
@hammerheadfistpunch update. No obvious abscess, but he does have a fever. He's getting cleaned and injected with antibiotics now. He's worn out and just huddles next to me shivering. I can't image how scary doctors would be without context.
At least he drank a little and settled into his bed for a little bit
