A base model, 2 door, 7 speed manual full size 2021 Bronco. In the flesh, not just "in the pipeline"
I bet he sells it within days for full asking price

Putting out feelers as emotions are mixed about selling this Bronco (<100 miles). It arrived very late and I had purchased a different new car in August. The title has not yet arrived but there is no lien and it should arrive by the end of November. It was towed home from the dealer and is kept in a heated garage.
I will respond to select e-mails only (please include full name, location, and phone number) with preference given to serous inquiries within a close proximity of my location. Test drives are not an option. Payment by official check or wire transfer only.
2-Door Base Hard Top
2.3L Ecoboost
7-speed manual transmission
Antimatter Blue (discontinued 2021 color only)
Only option are auxiliary switches and sound deadening hardtop
Cost was $32,500 (yes--it is priced above list)
As new with full warranty
PA inspection until November 2022Search Cars.com or AutoTrader and you will see that this may be the LOWEST priced Bronco in the country. I have only seen one on the road that was privately owned (dealers all have 1 mannequin for test drive purposes). Orders are at least 1 year out.

@atfsgeoff So not worth $50k, but dumb people have money too.

If someone pays, then it sadly is worth $50k
-
@atfsgeoff Ooooof, that’s high money for a base. My wife has tried to convince me to change my base order to a Badlands, which has been tempting, and a Badlands Sasquatch manual with the High package is the same price!
Of course, antimatter blue is now a one year color for the Bronco, so that makes that one a touch rarer.
-
@atfsgeoff Jesus. $50k for that $30,000 trucklet seems a bit much.
-
I love the basic steelies on that truck. I think I'd rather have an automatic, though.

@musashi66
I'm genuinely curious how someone would go about getting finance on a private sale vehicle that is priced at 33% more than what it is legitimately worth.Down here, I would probably face a number of legitimate questions from my lender in order for them to demonstrate their compliance with responsible lending regulations...and then they'd turn me down.
US$50,000 is Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series money...

If I wanted to go about financing this at my credit union, all I'd have to do is ask the loan officer to find any other new manual 2-door Bronco for sale at a lower out-the-door price. When they come back with nothing, they'd approve the loan
-
@silentbutnotreallydeadly They were probably offered over MSRP by the dealer, and figured they’d take their shot at getting more.
At this point, anyone wanting a Bronco could have been making car payments to themselves for the past few years and can just pay cash for one.
-
@silentbutnotreallydeadly how's gap insurance work on that? They gonna only insure that for 30k and you need gap for the rest? Or would insurance actually insure it for the going rate?
-
@cash-rewards
Insurance is another matter. There's no way you'd be able to insure that Bronco for what you paid for it. Insurance premiums are based on either market value or agreed value. Market value is whatever the insurance company thinks it's worth to them while agreed value is what you think it's worth moderated by what the insurance company will tolerate. Naturally, the premium for the latter is more expensive.I can't see how my insurance company would tolerate a 3 year replacement insurance deal (what is typically offered) on a car that is 30% overvalued from its RRP. They may simply refuse to insure the thing. It has happened to me before...

I'm not sure I could get a $50,000 secured loan here on a car that could alternatively be factory ordered for $32,000. Even if I had to wait 12 months for that order to turn up.
Unsecured is another matter...

It's peanuts. He'll probably get like $42k for it and pocket a nice $9k profit on the deal, though he paid thousands in sales tax, most likely, so he may hold out for $50k. Won't surprise me he gets it.

Factory order ≠ possession in this day & age, and I think 12 months is a pipe dream. Don't we have a resident Oppo who just recently ordered a new manual 2 door Bronco and was told minimium 24 month wait?

Pre-approved secured finance on a factory order would be a doddle. Finance for the Bronco above...not so much.

@streetsofperth
Absolutely. -
@atfsgeoff Mixed feelings about an $17,000 flip? Maybe he struggled with how much he could exploit the situation.
-
test drives are not an option
-
@atfsgeoff On CL why bother with $49,500? Just list it for $50k.
-
@atfsgeoff omg ffffffff off with that price
-
@atfsgeoff
“emotions are mixed”. What mix? The only emotion I smell here is greed from the get go. -

That would be me. My dealership actually told me 6-8 months. In reality, I’d say sometime in 2023. There are still day 1 reservation holders that haven’t received a VIN/build notification, let alone an actual vehicle!
For me, it’s a no risk order for a fun vehicle replacement, and not my DD. I actually prefer it takes a little longer, as I’ll just be able to save up that much more. If it was a DD, I never would’ve gone this route.

Consumers: "Dealers are unethical for charging over MSRP!"
Also consumers: "Flipping my new car is just capitalism at work, man!"
-
@silentbutnotreallydeadly You can put down the difference and finance actual cost easily. We also have GAP insurance which might be mandatory on a loan like this where the vehicle is underwater right away.
