Yes, the chip shortage has cost MANY features on other cars. The BIG difference is customers are NOTIFIED beforehand. And in the case of BMW, you have to sign a disclosure admitting you knew before taking delivery.

@his_stigness My company just replaced my 2017 Escape with a 2021 Escape, and it is obviously lacking typically-standard USB ports (has plastic blanks where they would be). At first I thought it was Ford's beancounters decontenting but now I'm starting to wonder if it's related to supply chain shortages.
