Deer 1, Maverick 0

@peter_black I wouldn't say I hate deer, but yeah I hate deer.
-
@peter_black oof
-
@highlander when they aren’t crashing into cars, they wonder through paddocks, shitting on everything and dragging ticks along for the ride. I have a less than positive opinion of them myself.
-
@highlander They're tasty, but other than that, they are extremely annoying
-
@peter_black I’m not quite sure that the dead deer thinks he won

If anything, it’s a draw
-
@musashi66 it’s more of a tie. Although the Maverick is at least repairable. It just might not make sense to repair it.
-
@hfv That truck is brand new and $25k+, so I presume it will be repaired. Deer might be eaten
-
@hfv if it's not totaled, I'd fix it and sell immediately.
-
@musashi66 its might not be, supply issues and wait times for parts mean that insurance companies are just writing stuff off rather then pay for a 60 day rental

That’s probably at least $10k of damage. If any airbags blew, it’s totaled for sure. Modern cars are really expensive to repair.
-
@eric It is 50-80% of value before the car is totaled. That means minimum of $12000 in damages would be needed to total it. It might be the case, but I am not positive. It really depends on what is damaged behind the grille.

That, and the ability to get parts, and cost of a long-term rental. It's definitely borderline here. I feel bad for the owner.
-
@peter_black At least it wasn't another motorcycle this time
-
@dr-zoidberg For a profit in this market.
-
@peter_black i'd say with how hard it is to get a replacement, it still might be fixed.
