i guess this is the current used SUV marketplace?
-
listed locally in western Colorado, found this morning on my interweb rounds. supposedly a 20mph off road excursion while wheeling by teenage son.
i mean it's only got 128k and a manual. looks like no rust, so this used to be a super nice rig. oof.
not quite sure its worth the current 3500USD asking price though.
says "Body tech with shop/tools can fix it." at least he included photo angles of the jacked up frame?

@xsnowpig neh...she's dead jim
resurrectable..sure...but its gonna be cheaper to buy a new truck
(well...maybe not if you can do everything yourself and have the tools and materials lying around...) -
@xsnowpig seller should put down the crack pipe and stick to weed. What the fuck lol.
-
@xsnowpig That right there is a parts truck.
-
@xsnowpig How many crashes at 20mph did it take to look like that?
-
@vondon302 or doing 20mph, then dropping off a 20foot cliff.
-
@xsnowpig Big nope, that there is a dead SUV. Part out for survivors time.
-
@xsnowpig 20mph, but no mention of how fast the OTHER vehicle was going LOL
-
@urambo-tauro it was a train, actually
-
@xsnowpig yeah, that's going around.
At least this guy knows it's dead. But he expects two grand for a pile of questionable parts. It's VT, so you know everything underneath is coated in rust.

@tekamul $2000 for a working engine, complete bed, complete interior, rear diff (non TRD model so no LSD) really isn’t bad on such low mileage truck.
-
@xsnowpig I’ll haul it away for free
Really for less than a grand that could be a decent start for a rock crawler buggy build -
If the goal is to turn it into a bogger, or race truck, then sure.
That thing is never going to be suitable for road driving ever again. -
@wasgtithengtothennovathengtinowa4 don't ever underestimate the power of "good enough" and the number of people willing to sell it after being repaired.
-
@tekamul VT has nothing to do with it, some of those tundras came with frame rust factory installed
-
@musashi66 Zero percent chance for most of those things. The passenger side wheel is all the way up into the engine bay. It starts, but there's no way it isn't full of clangy bits. Also, airbags means the dash is probably a no go. Seats could be good though. And 20 years in VT means you could put your foot through the bed.
-
@tekamul Dash is usable even if the airbags go. I’m not sure how engine can run and be full of clanky bits? Description seems to indicate good condition, and unless you ran carfax, how do you known it’s been rusted in VT for 20 years? It might have arrived from AZ 3 days before the accident.
I have this same truck. I went to a Toyota wrecking yard in Denver. You’d be shocked to see the price of the parts for these trucks.
