Do we still have someone who works for Rivian?
I'm still not going to commit to $80k during a pandemic, but man the Rivians look nice. Are they really going to be August 2021 for first deliveries?
Also, I can't really drive up to my clients office in an EV...when their job is to refine crude into gasoline.

@houstonrunner My wife and I both directly and indirectly get paid from oil and gas companies. We will always need oil for stuff. Even if people stop burning it at the rate we do today. Our entire world is being fabricated out of plastics these days. I’d rock a Rivian. I’m not normally an SUV guy. But I’d be torn between that and their truck.
@sn4cktimes Ditto in my household. I'm aware of all the uses that won't die off quickly, but being a consultant means I have to take into account client perception all the time.

@sn4cktimes By virtue of living in Alberta, you indirectly get paid by oil and gas

@carsoffortlangley The Canadian government really only exists a front for oil and gas companies.

Check DasWauto's comment here:
@houstonrunner They are nice, I just watched the Long Way Up and they do pretty well as prototypes. But that is more than I will ever spend. I guess in a decade EV trucks will be common, I will wait.
