FYI Old-Old-New Top Gear is on Amazon Prime
-
I probably missed the boat, but I just learned the other day that a bunch of the early seasons are on amazon prime to watch for free in their not-so-glamorous early digital film quality.
-
Thought I was on DriveTribe for a second...
-
Brilliant, I love their low quality stuff. One of my guilty pleasures is the Olympics episode where they had a freaking Pacer doing jumps.
-
@bandit work the motor trend channel, you have access to the season before they had James May. Who, despite his character in the series was reluctant to join the series for fear of its lack of success. The studio literally has a handful of people and a macabre game to play is set how many of their guests are dead. Yeah, I'm an odd duck sometimes.
-
@gettingoldercarguy Season 1 was a total mess every time not_james_may had to do anything. I'm amazed they made it to Season 2 without Mr Slowly
-
@smallbear The worst was the "Here's some cheap cars!" ad segment.
-
@rctothefuture I suppose they had to put something "sensible" in to keep the bosses happy at first, but the show definitely succeeded in spite of them, not the other way around. Every. Single. Episode. All. They. Did. Was. Kill. Momentum.
-
I hopped on the Top Gear bandwagon just before Amazon picked them up/created The Grand Tour. Every season of old Top Gear used to be on Prime and they started charging for the later ones right around the time I finished them. Had to pay 20 bucks to watch the last season... just made it...
-
@smallbear Well, breaking bad barely made it into a pilot in the beginning.
