Super productive lunch break

So a while back I posted that I was selling my wife's Felt Z-100 road bike, remember? it wasn't perfect, but it was still in really good shape. I finally got a call this morning about it, and despite the normal signs of light use, the person that bought it paid the full asking price. I am pleased. It also makes me think that what is happening to used car prices is also happening to bikes. Don't care, got paid.

100%. Sold a Brodie Brute from like, 2006 that's been abused all it's life for what it cost new.

@carsoffortlangley i shoulda got that thing.... coulda gone round telling everyone its a custom bike just for me
see? its got my name on it! -
@mr-ontop as someone that's been getting into cycling the last 6 months, very much so. Also if you see something in a shop you want that's less than $1,500 buy it right then. It probably won't be there next week.
-
@mr-ontop I don't remember what you paid, but the person who bought it probably knew his road bikes. If the frame's good and the gruppo isn't trashed, it's as good as a new one.

@carsoffortlangley lol im the right size for it
im entitled to a pretty house near invernessbut i cant afford the upkeep.... also entitled to a family kilt i cant afford
-
@jminer I sold it for slightly more than I paid for it because I was expecting to have to negotiate, but the person looked it over and said the weren't even going to try and negotiate and handed me a big wad of cash

@farscythe Here's the trick to living there. You live in this part:
and rent this part out for events and maybe a few tenants in the apartments in this part
Source: My first "real" job was as a live in property manager for something like (slightly smaller just two stories and no bellfrey) that. The owner didn't even live there. They just wanted to make sure nothing happened to the property. I Loved the house and would have my friend over to hang out in the mansion when there was nothing special going on. They had to park around back, of course.. Peasants!
-
@mr-ontop hmmm...excellent plan that...just have to get rid of the people doing exactly that first....welp...its the scottish countryside....lotsa room to dissapear a couple bodies
-
@farscythe They'll never find them in the highlands!
-
@farscythe you just need to trim the family tree a bit "Kind Hearts and Coronets" style...
