Poll May Switch Choices
Welcome to This or That; Where I choose 2 vehicles (but probably can't afford) and you choose which one you'd rather have with the poll.
You can explain your choice below, or not.Last time we had a Tercel SR5 4WD up against a Probe GT. Most opted for the 4wd Toyota, 43 : 24
Doing a local one today with relatively cheap cars that grampa has finally given up driving with.
First up is a Gray Anthracite 1993 Infiniti J30. It has a Naturally Aspirated 3.0L [VG30DE] V6 Engine with 210hp, a 4-Speed Automatic and RWD. Inside is a Dark Gray and Crème Interior with Heated Leather Seats, Automatic Climate Control, Sunroof, and CD/Cassette Radio (not working).
Or would you like quintessential old man style?
It’s up against a Silver 1991 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series. It has a Naturally Aspirated 4.6L [Modular] V8 Engine with 210hp, a 4-Speed Automatic Transmission and RWD. Inside is a Red Interior with Velour Seats, Automatic Climate Control, Radio Cassette Player.

Hey, thanks for voting. I hope you enjoyed today’s poll.
Have some vehicles you’d like to see in the poll? Send me a message! -
@exage03040 Red velour seats! A motor you can do a LOT with for cheap! And I bet the stereo works! Lincoln all the way!
-
@exage03040 4 speed cassette player for the win !
(wait, what ... ?)Tarted up Nissans suck, and the people driving them even more.

Let's not slam entire categories of people for their brand preferences.
-
Lincoln! The J30 is memorable enough I didn't even know what it was until I looked at the picture.
-
@exage03040 I prefer the Towncar, which means it will ultimately lose this poll.
-
@exage03040 gimme the Town Car, baby!
-
@exage03040 I cannot believe these cars were made within 2 years of each other.
-
@exage03040 Town car for me. Every time I see a J30 I think of this one, which I remember was customized by a Pasadena college of design professor, or something like that. It was a blurb in Road & Track back then. For some reason it's listed in Pennsylvania, who knows why.

@exage03040 Strange things are afoot at the Circle K. Also, their shirts match the graphics.
-
neither?
-
@just-jeepin hold my beer
-
@exage03040 Always loved the design of the J30.
-
-
@exage03040 The Town Car because the radio works.
-
@exage03040 anyone choosing the Lincoln had probably never driven a J30. Underrated car that is very comfortable, very reliable, faster and better handler than the Lincoln.
-
I like the red velour seats in the Lincoln. But the J30 is a much better car overall... particularly in terms of handling. Also there is a bigger novelty factor with the J30.
So I vote for the Infiniti.

Or they've never driven a Town Car or one of the other Ford Panther body cars... and experienced the crappy handling and mediocre stock brakes.
-
@exage03040 a friend of mine in highschool bought himself a J30t from commissions while working at RadioShack. Was really nice to my minivan driving self.

@exage03040
Infiniti. Because that driveline makes it just a step away from a transcontinental sleeper saloon. And a fairly bulletproof one at that. -
@manwich I grew up with Panthers, so I chose the Town Car out of nostalgia. I'd also have no expectation that a Town Car would "handle", I expect it to float.
The J30, while a much different car, resembles the Altima of the same era too much for me.
-
@exage03040 those infinity's were everywhere when i was a kid

But underneath, it is nothing like an Altima though. It's actually related to the RWD Nissan Leopard.

@just-jeepin Nope sorry, Nissan drivers are the absolute worst on the road. It's a fact. Their rampant disregard of other's safety should always be called out as a warning for what to look out for. A Nissan sedan is always a red flag when I'm driving, and without fail, they always do something stupid. Then when they crash it, they buy a Charger.
