Haters Unite!

I've been rubbing shoulders with an Alfa guy a lot recently. He's a friend of one of my colleagues. I saw him a lot when I first started here almost 8 years ago then not for a while, now he's around again and I have been helping him with some of his company's tech.

I think we got off on the wrong foot years ago. He heard I was into cars and was like "I've got two Fiat 124's..."

Me: "hah, is one a parts car?"

Him: "no?..."

Hah, whoops...

We've acknowledged each others cars but since I'm helping him out now we've been talking in depth. He doesn't like BMWs but all of the sudden he was interested when I told him that all of the fueling/intake/exhaust on my 1502 is/are Italian parts that he'd be very familiar with. Then he walked into my office and saw all of the artwork (multiple Alfa's) and was like "I didn't know you liked Italian cars?"

I was like "yeah, I like cars but just like you the longer I focus on one manufacturer/chassis the lower the motivation to traverse into another brand"

Anyway, just a couple of haters doin they thang and being friendly while they do it. The only car of his I have seen in person is a red 124 and it is gorgeous. Were going to try to do "Christmas" pics.

@tripper Maybe when he said he has two, he meant two running and road legal, and was counting the 6 parts cars as just parts?

@ranwhenparked I've never had a parts car, but I feel like that's how I'd frame it. I wouldn't say "I have 2 e30's" if one of them was gutted on cinder blocks with no plans to get it running.

@Tripper Mutual respect is the way to go. I wouldn't even describe that as being "hater', more of a loyalist. That said, I don't quite understand having multiples of the same car/model. Are those 2 Fiats wildly different specs?

@wbizarre I've only ever seen the one, and he does not have it anymore. He's just got the red one, a really nice old Ford square body, and a GTV 2000 that he wasn't ready to share pictures of.
