Went for a rip in the track car project tonight. 52 degrees in December in Minnesota.

Still needs a steering rack, but man it's fun. Can't wait to nearly double the horsepower. Took it through a car wash, then went for a good drive. Cruised the old meetup spots, then hit the freeway for a while.
Put her away after a few photos of the literal afterglow

Is anyone in North America other than CB having anything resembling a winter yet? It was in the 60s last week here... I put Xmas lights up wearing a t-shirt for goodness sake.

We got a couple inches of snow this morning that promptly melted this afternoon.

@dr-zoidberg We got a light skiff of snow this morning. Not enough to stay on the roads, but enough to cover the grass. Up until that, it's been really mild since the snowpocalypse we had earlier in the fall.

Even here in southern Quebec we’ve barely had winter stuff yet. Finally stayed cold enough for a dump to stick around this week, but back above zero later this week so probably going to loose it again. Higher elevation has been consistently snowy though. But compared to last year, tomorrow marks one year since the best pow day I've had, and the hills aren't even open yet this year

@dr-zoidberg snowed here on Monday. Weekend will be in the 60s. So a fairly typical Virginia December.

@dr-zoidberg A foot of extremely heavy wet snow last weekend. All the birch, poplar, aspen and mountain laurel are bent over to the ground. Pines lost limbs and branches throughout the yard. Shrubs that were not wrapped, staked or covered are flattened. Was on generator power for more than 2 days, lost internet for same amount of time too.
Ice storm for this weekend...... Oh joy!
