Anyone need a really low paying internship at a cool looking little museum? Here you go: https://jobs.aaslh.org/job/internship-digitization-and-access/59207207/.
I was actually kind of blown away that Indiana still has an $8/hr minimum wage. Yikes.
I keep an eye on several job sites that are relevant to my field and a trend I have noticed in the last couple of years is a marked increase in paid internships. Used to be, until very recently, that you were really lucky to get paid as an intern in the libraries / archives / museums world.
At least you'd get to look at this every day?

@azw123 that's more than the federal minimum wage, what's the problem?
@bandit Arizona was the same when I was working a minimum wage job there 12 years ago. Granted I was 16 and didn't exactly need much money to get by...
@cb The sad part is that it'll probably be some younger person who is in / just out of college, working a couple of these types of jobs to get enough experience to even be considered for a mediocre museum job.
@sovande Yeah, $7.25 an hour is a great way to make a living

@azw123 8 and hour isn’t low pay, it’s an insult.

@azw123 I'd be more bitter the position advertises only 15hrs per week. That's $120 take home every week, ouch.
