Hi new Oppo! Let my first post be a photo dump of my E39 just because I want to
This is my 1996 E39 528i with a manual. It's Cosmos Black with the black leather interior and IDK the name of the wood trim but it's the dark gray one and it's the best one among the E39s.
Some of these pictures are old and I've changed things about it, like removing the fucking fake chrome around it.
Are there other E39
ownersmasochists out there?
Thank you for your attention

Thanks! I love it way too much!
That's so cool!
Is that Cosmosschwarz as well?
So rare seeing an E39 that kept the headlights and didn't go for the Motorsport bumpers! I love it!
Are those wheels 16s? They look a little bit smaller than mine
@melissa Mine is regular Scwarz II, and I actually uninstalled shitty angel eyes that the last owner put in lol. The wheels are 16", yes.
@essextee Haha mine came with some shitty blue xenons and my first modification was to yank those out.
I was looking for OEM Angel Eye headlights but I'm digging the old ones with the projectors. It suits the vintage look I'm going for.
The early E39s are now in the BMW Classic program after all so we now officially own vintage cars
@melissa I actually had to replace the headlight lenses at one point and it was very hard to find OEM-style ones that didn't have a smoked or clear turn signal. Everybody want to upgrade their cars to LCI-spec and nobody appreciates the original design.
@essextee Yeah. Mine came pretty fogged up when I bought the car. It also had the non-projector headlights and the clear turn signla. I was pretty lucky to find someone selling OEM pre LCI headlights with the projectors, perfect lenses and the amber turn signals which I prefer. It was also cheaper than just buying new lenses haha
This is what it looked like when I got the car. Fogged up and with some ugly fake chrome the previous owner had stuck everywhere

This is an amazing action shot! I love the way it is kicking up the bright red dust in contrast to the green and blue background with the black car.
