Is It Just Me...

@flatisflat it seems fair but not really a deal.

Or does this seem like a pretty good deal?
The short of it: 1966 International '1100A' for $3500.
Seems a pretty decent price, but not amazing.
Also, aren't parts for old Internationals pretty hard to come by?

I like the truck but it would need a good deal more than the purchase price to bring back to good condition and parts are hard to come by. Fair price for an obscure and not sought after truck.

As you and @RallyDarkstrike have pointed out, parts availability would be a problem. But, the older a car gets, and so long as you're not trying to preserve its 'purity', then the more I see them as a unique package for an ls swap recipient. In the end, not cheap at all, but also a lot less inherent complication as there's so little going on in the original package.

@flatisflat True, you wouldn't lose much when not keeping originality. It would never be some perfect garage queen anyways.
LS swap? Gotta do that Honda K swap. Or maybe a VW swap

@flatisflat As someone who owned an international it's definitely more than that though. Want a replacement heater core? Sorry there was one company that made a small run 15 years ago, if you can find one it's $400. Time to hack up the heater box and put in a core from a 06 Taurus.
My project almost got killed before it got started from a single body part. An inner fender, on a scout they're a structural component that you can't assemble the front end without. Mine was missing one - took a lot of phone calls to even find one.
I eventually gave up on the project after getting it running and driving, just too much work to keep running with all the parts hunting. -
@jminer Yeah, this type of stuff is what I've heard...

@flatisflat I believe the trannys are totally unsync'd, not sure what year that went on til but I talked to a guy that had one and it was double clutch city unless you swap.
