Someone's vehicle title was just sent to my mailbox. The address is actually my address but I don't know the person whose name is on the title. What should I do with it?

I also need a particular plastic door clip that doesn't seem to have any generic equivalents available. Honda 91561-SM4-013ZA. Any good ideas for getting one, besides online Honda parts sites? Shipping would cost multiples of the part itself.

@ricerocketeer 1st one: call the DMV?

2rd: can you get one from a pick and pull?

Agree for 1: Call the DMV or title office

2: If you can't get one second-hand, you should be able to get it through a dealer.

Craigslist will push me, and I'll say no; read my lips: no new projects.

@ricerocketeer how much for the Honda clip from a dealer?

Send the title back to whoever sent it, write in the envelope “return to sender- not known at this address” the just drop it in a mailbox

@pip-bip It's usually something like 5 bucks, then 15 for tax and shipping.

@RiceRocketeer Have you tried this site?

https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/default.asp is probably the go-to source. Another option would be to visit the fastener cabinets at a better parts house like a Napa. There is likely to be a generic clip that is close enough in size and shape to work. A local body shop is also likely to have a bunch of these or a generic equivalents around. A few bucks in cash would probably get you one.

third alternate - I just googled the p/n you listed and a bunch of ebay options appeared. If you are willing to take the risk, $3/10pk plus $3 S&H doesn't seem like piracy.

I will pay you the princely sum of one dollar and thirty seven cents for this mystery title

@jayvincent Oh? Searching eBay directly yields no results, and google just gives me the dealer parts sites.

@atfsgeoff not settling for anything short of two whole American dollars. I know what I have!

                          ( ... no, I don't, actually)

@ricerocketeer let's see if this works, here's the link:

                                ebay link

@jayvincent hm the part number on that auction doesn't quite match the one I'm looking for. Appreciate the effort though.

Guess I shouldn't be surprised since the cars that use it aren't that prevalent, and the last one came off the line in 2011.
