The art of the steal.
oh, it's a new week:
Meanwhile, in a third world location:

The Florida story was fake though, which is classically Florida
-
@forsweden I saw the article this morning and had some reservations on her credibility. What I get out of this is that people are crazy and it has nothing to do with their political affiliation.

@forsweden said in The Art of the Deal:

Wow. Just... wow.
-
@forsweden Tallahasseereports.com lolol
Such a fake story that the police in one of America's hellholes raided her home at gunpoint. Checks out.
-
@fintail Florida gave us the swat raid to send a kid back to Cuba, so that makes sense.
-
@forsweden And look at DeSantis, scum.
She may be a nut, but the governor there is an absolute failure re: covid, the recent raid didn't happen just because a batty woman was fired for "insubordination". I have no reason to believe she wasn't told to hold off on reporting data that might offend the "reopen everything" gang.
-
@forsweden every single one of those points doesn't change anything
1: She may not be the "architect" of the underlying software, but she had significant input on what the dashboard displayed and how that information was accessed.
2: I don't think I ever saw a publication claim she was a "coronavirus scientist", because that's not what she was. She was a data scientist, which, if you'll notice, is still science. I would argue anything STEM related most lay people would refer to as science, so no it doesn't sew confusion.
3: Hiding data is a form of data manipulation no matter how you spin it. Whether you believe the reason given as to why they wanted it hidden is another thing.
4: I mean this part of it is really just a "he said/she said" thing. Of course the official transcript from the state is going to make her look worse.
As with most of these things, the truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

@krustywantout That article really doesn't debunk anything though. Look at my reply to forsweden.

@mastermario I agree that the article doesn't prove one thing or another but it does cast some doubt on her credibility and the fact that she isn't as important as some articles portray her. "Architect" is a very stong word to describe her role at the agency. I also don't doubt that the Florida governor's office was manipulating the data and retaliating against her. Most people have long suspected Florida and Georgia have been manipulating their covid data. As you put it, the truth is somewhere in the middle.
