FULL Petersen Automotive Museum video tour!

In case you missed this on The Drive or elsewhere.
2+ hours, including the vault!

@davesaddiction I've taken the vault tour, there are SOOO many cars that it is fully dependent on your tour guide which vehicles you get to spend time with and those that are in the back corner that you want to see you miss out on. There were several that I asked about and the tour guide knew less than me but others he had many cool anecdotes.

One of the COVID tragedies. We were planning to visit the Museum in April, it's only a couple of hours away.

@snakesm13 I've been listening to the tour some and the guide is okay, but not perfect. Definitely hard to know everything about everything, but he referred to as an NASCAR Intrepid as an "Interpid". LOL!
Wish 505Turbeaux was here to chime in! (he works at a small auto museum in the northeast)

@davesaddiction I haven't watched much of the video as I'm at work but the tour guide we had was a much older gentleman who was very well versed in pre 70's vehicles. The knowledge he had of all the early Ford Model's was astounding. He was much more of a hot rod era guy than open wheel racing or modern technology. They had a 4 door 928 prototype that I recognized from the Porsche Experience in Atlanta that must have been on loan to Petersen that he passed off my comment about it by saying it was just a production model someone is keeping in storage. Same with a 914-6 he mentioned it was just a 4cyl VW engine.
Man I feel like I'm being a jerk to this guy... It really was a great tour!

@snakesm13 Everyone has their own specific knowledge, usually related to what they care most about! But a museum guide really needs at least a basic understanding of everything in the collection, or at least the humility to say they don't.
