Poll May Switch Choices
Welcome to This or That; Where I choose 2 vehicles (but probably can't afford) and you choose which one you'd rather have with the poll.
You can explain your choice below, or not.
Some rarer AWD vehicles today.
First up is a Light Silver 2007 Audi RS4. It has the Naturally Aspirated 4.2L V8 Engine with 420hp, a 6-Speed Manual Transmission and Quattro AWD. Inside is a Black Interior with Aluminium Accents, Heated Leather Front and Rear Seats, Dual Zone Automatic Climate Control, Sunroof and Radio with CD Player.
Perhaps you like your steak rarer?
It’s up against a Frost White over Gray 1992 GMC Typhoon. It has the Turbocharged 4.3L V6 [LB4] Engine with 280hp, 4-Speed 4L60 Automatic Transmission and AWD. Inside is a Black and Gray Interior with Leather Seats, Radio Cassette Player

Hey, thanks for voting. I hope you enjoyed today’s poll.
Have some vehicles you’d like to see in the poll? Send me a message! -
The first time I’ve voted for an auto over a manual. Sedans bore me.
(I think if I’d read more carefully though, I would have noticed the transmission difference before I voted instead of after and probably gone the other way.)
-
@exage03040 more power, more doors, more pedals, seems like the audi is the choice here
-
Hmmm. One of the coolest trucks GM ever made vs something that probably broke before I was done looking at the pictures.
Edit: TIL those were AWD. I'd always just assumed they were RWD.
-
@exage03040 Ooh, I like the random combo, not the usual head to head of farily comparable vehicles.
Audi, I'm more of a "new car" guy
-
@exage03040 The typhoon is a childhood dream car for me, so gotta go with the S-10 blazer and put a custom plate on it "VETTETR"
-
@exage03040 the weird SUV is of no interest to me. But a manual NA V8 awd luxury sports car? Yes please
-
@exage03040 RS4, it may be my favorite out of the small luxury V8 sedans that came out in 2007/2008, but I still have a soft spot for it. I obviously spoke with my money when I had the opportunity to select which V8 sedan I wanted, and sure, I'd buy a C63 over it, but I wouldn't hate owning an RS4.

Comparable price, mileage, and excess!
-
Typhoon. I'm going to put 15 inch kicker subs in the back and blast trap at the nearest high school.
-
@exage03040 I gotta admit, before I clicked on the Audi and saw the results, I expected to be in the minority.
I respect cars like the Typhoon, but ultimately if I want a fast vehicle I'd get a car, and if I wanted a truck, I'd get a proper truck.
-
@someoneatacura Ice, ice, baby.
-
@exage03040 As cool as the Typhoon is, I can't see spending that kind of money on an old S10 Blazer.
-
@exage03040 Manual RS4 is an excellent sounding machine. Maintenance nightmare be damned.
-
@exage03040 Didn't even have to read the description. Saw the Typhoon, immediately voted for it.
-
@carbon-fiber-sasquatch I know. I am surprised at how many people are voting incorrectly.
-
@carbon-fiber-sasquatch Same.
-
RS4 is god tier. Easy choice.
-
@exage03040 The Typhoon isn't as appealing as the Syclone, but it was the first performance SUV.
-
an unreliable, go-buy-another-one, maintenance-whore german, or one of the coolest vehicles ever made?
easy, easy choice.
-
everyone who voted for the RS4 is objectively wrong.

Though if you keep the Typhoon in good condition, it might be worth even more money. The Audi is much more likely to depreciate.
-
@cobrajoe Oh, that's very true on both counts. It's also true that I have an irrational distrust of GM products after my lemon of a Yukon.
-
@huzer Oh, I'd fully believe that a Typhoon would be difficult to keep in good condition, I'm not a fan of 80s plastics, and GMs aren't know for their longevity.
But the thing is a legend, and that'll always be worth some money.
-
@exage03040 typhoon. Just needs a hitch receiver.
