@pip-bip @Peter_Black I'm confused. It came out 21 years ago so I suppose it's possible to be an import into Canada. I'm not sure why a 206 CC was chosen but I love that it's here.

@whoistheleader certainly different. be one hell of a bugger to get parts when the roof mechanism fails.

@pip-bip Yeah, that confusing genre of small cabriolet only ever had one car here in this decade that I can remember. The VW CC is a fine car but maybe they wanted something more the size of a Geo Metro convertible but with a hardtop.

@tysmagic Right? Like... I knew they were now available with galvanizing for the repros, but this is the first one I've seen installed with "natural finish" as it were. Interesting effect - catches the eye.

@ramblinrover seems to be a bit of trend to leave all of the new bits unpainted. Can't say I'm a big fan

@tysmagic It's just lazy IMHO, plus it's going to look like shit down the road.

I keep buying Land Rovers because I don't have a problem and I can quit anytime I want.

@tysmagic It's not as fun as leaving a Series in full patchwork hobo mode with all the panels you've replaced from this or that donor or have repainted out of order.
Although in fairness, I didn't have mine with a yellow driver's door, mostly red sides, blue front fender tops, and different blue rad support and firewall for very long.

@tysmagic I'm slowly un-hoboing the Galaxie from some sections with decayed gold and some sections of decayed silver (color change when the clearcoat came off - shitty respray), and some sections of decayed silver + funk.
This of course means it now has some sections of fresh gold, some sections of dead differenter gold, some sections of dead silver-gold, some sections of blackish silver (few now) and some sections of primer. Oy.
