Something to listen to while reading

It would be interesting to hear these calls. What does the call center say when something truly absurd is thrown at them?
-
@highlander Ooh a poll! What are we voting on?
-
@beefchips I saw the option to make a poll, so I made a poll.

Cool. I vote dogs.
-
@just-jeepin They're usually pretty calm and straightforward when dispatching. All the dispatchers I know are professionals, even with the absurd stuff (hand in a freezer, ufos, etc). Only time I've ever heard them be annoyed with callers is when drunks call 911 for no good reason.
-
@cb But what do you actually say when no one is going to actually investigate the call? Do you still say “we’ll look into that” or do you try to explain to them why you don’t care?
-
@just-jeepin If it’s a 911 call, misuse or not, first responders are supposed to attend , so normally it’s just letting dispatch know who’s taking the call and that they’re en route.
And if it’s not going to be investigated as it’s not a police matter/false/whatever, the complainant is informed of that. -
@highlander
I feel like the first 6 entries should be connected somehow in the plot of a cheap suspense novel. -

"A woman who had not taken nude photos of herself figured the person threatening to release said photos was probably running a scam."
I mean, yeah, that's probably a safe assumption.
-
I found some of the photos from the news stories......

Does snowflake need a safe space to protect them from those dastardly mask wearers?

Thank you! High praise from the OP!!!
-
@cb What about if the local McDonalds doesn't have the McRib, even though they're all supposed to?
-
@ranwhenparked Here in Saskatchewan, that gets you a 911 ticket, which is normally a $300 fine.
-
@cb that's the old number,I believe we're supposed to use 0118-999-88199-911-9725-3 now
-
@just-jeepin Buy a Uniden Sds 100 or 200. You can hear all of the calls for several local counties. It’s better than television in my rural area.
-
@exage03040 man it'd be cool if I could sing. The singer guess who also makes me think that
