Have the Opportunity to re-home a family member's Lexus RX350, Oppo thoughts?

I think it's about a '13 and belongs to a family member that takes care of their shit. Even with the process and expense of Import/export between USA/Canada I think it will be worth the hassle. Anybody have one? I drove it on a small road trip and i think It's delightful and would go to mrs D. At which time I'd take over the (starting to rattle) Hybrid escape, I'm getting tire of running my office out of a regular cab truck (although I like the truck and the look of a "work" truck).

If you do it, your first stop in Canada should be Krown

@dash-doorhandle-and-bondo This was one of the vehicles that was on my list when I ended up finding a rather nice Honda Ridgeline. Fundamentally it's a really nice Highlander with different styling so not a lot there to worry about. If you like it when you drove it, seems to be a no-brainer.

@dash-doorhandle-and-bondo my mom just traded her 2016 for a 2022. They are nice, fine, comfortable cars. They aren't fun to drive, but they are a nice place to be. The rear seat reclines a few degrees which is nice for longer trips. My mom has a bit of a crush on the service department at Lexus as well.

@dash-doorhandle-and-bondo I've never owned one, but everything I've hear is they're very reliable and comfortable.

@dash-doorhandle-and-bondo My dad has the hybrid version. It is a wonderful car, that feels as tight as it was when we first bought it (120k miles now). However, I find they understeer like crazy and the seats are not that comfortable (my opinion but not shared by many). It is a great car if you want a reliable, safe, and comfortable vehicle. Would I ever buy one? Probably not since it just doesn't excite me. Also, the touch pad interface takes time to get use to and I don't think the non-hybrid get the best gas mileage (takes only premium).

My parents have had two in that color, and still have their 2015. Second everything that’s been said—it’s a reliable, comfortable way to get around, albeit not particularly exciting. They’ve had few or no issues beyond routine wear items, they’re reasonably good in the snow with AWD, and will comfortably shuttle around four adults and their bags. Infotainment system is a bit clunky from that vintage, but very few other negatives I can think of.

These are alright. They're nothing to write home about, and drive like a tall Camry (which is effectively what they are). Seats are supportive, and they're roomy inside and easy to get in and out of. They get fairly decent mileage and are overall nice daily commuters.
-
The only thing I've seen commonly fail on these through used car inspections is the rear shocks. But, the OEM ones are like $80 bucks or so CAD each. You really can't go wrong with this for a nice daily, as long as you're good with V6 fuel costs (you should run premium on these , but I don't believe it's necessary).
-
@dash-doorhandle-and-bondo I mean it’s a V6 Camry turned into a crossover, I’m not sure a better daily exists. Comfortable, quiet, and stone dead reliable. If it’s a good deal, more than worth it.
-
@dash-doorhandle-and-bondo I think is a win. Yes, it's nothing too exciting, but assuming it's well cared for and a good price (both of which sound like a "yes"), it's a smart play. Even if just for a few years, you can probably get most or all of your $ back. From that standpoint, embrace the appliance! And if you're going with the appliance route, a comfy one makes sense. It would take ONE HELL OF A DEAL to make me feel this way about a base Ford Focus, just as an example.

@sovande This. Lexus knows how to take care of their clients like nobody else on the market.
(Porsche aside. But the bills are not the same size either) -
