Well folks, my order for a new center console has been canceled.

It has apparently long been since continued, and the two dealers that said they had one in stock did in fact NOT have them in stock. So kind of the same song and dance as to when I ordered "available" parts for the Lexus and Pontiac. I'm not all that upset because I figured it was too good to be true that the tan interior was discontinued yet the charcoal was not. I'm going to attempt to reorder from ToyotaPartsDeal, as I once had luck ordering a part from LexusPartsNow (the same damn thing) that had been allegedly discontinued to four years.

If this does not work, I will go back to my franken box, which will require ordering used parts off ebay or the forums and piecing them together. After shipping -- and if I value my spare time at zero dollars -- it may be a total wash.

Hopefully my tales of the past year or so has encouraged you to buy some OEM bits you've been wanting -- while you still can!
