Morning thoughts
-
If I can order a car with heated seats, steering wheel, and mirrors…
Then there should be no reason I can’t order a car with a heated shift knob.
-
@qaaaaa as most cars are auto these days, no need as you won't be putting you hand on it
-
@pip-bip still touch it. Warm good.
-
Something something heated knob.....
-
@qaaaaa Sounds like an Oppo-tunity.
-
@qaaaaa It was wonderfully cool this morning in Texas (happen to be in San Antonio), 54 Freedom units indicated. I didn't turn on my heated seats, but I did remember they existed.
-
@qaaaaa I just wish more cars allowed you to turn on the heat in the back and base of the seat separately.
I can heat just the seat back in my truck or the whole seat. When my back is hurting being able to do that is amazing. -
@kiltedpadre That would be REALLY nice

@qaaaaa The auto makers are drawing a line between surfaces where there is continuous contact and surfaces with occasional contact. Tesla owners may argue that the steering wheel doesn't require continuous contact, but let's not argue over Tesla "self driving" here. If you are holding onto the shift lever continuously, you are probably going to wear out joints in the linkage quickly.
If it really bothers you, get a fuzzy cover for your gear knob. (After I typed that, I realized that it sounds like a bad euphemism.)

@roadkilled I’m good
