I'm not one to post about concerts, but if you're ever in Colorado...
-
You should book some tickets for Red Rocks. At least once in your life. You won't be disappointed. -
@benjrblant I was just talking about Red Rock with a coworker today. We both agreed we’d go see a show there in a heartbeat, and it didn’t really matter who the band was.
-
Yeah, this is one of the things I'm really sad about leaving behind now that I'm in Tennessee. I've seen LCD Soundsystem, Mac Demarco, Thievery Corporation, Chromeo, and Tame Impala there. All fantastic shows, even when it poured rain at LCDSS.

@benjrblant I’ve never been to red rocks. I have been to the Mishawaka outside of Fort Collins and it was incredible!
-
@benjrblant Yep, at the end of August. https://opposite-lock.com/topic/20159/life-updates-tn-oppos-assemble/

@marquettela Have you heard of the Caverns concert venue? I don’t know where it in relation to you, but it’s a venue I really want to check out eventually.
Caverns -
@kiltedpadre I haven't heard of it, but it's only an hour away from me! Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely be watching their schedule! Thievery Corporation is playing there in a week!!!
-
@marquettela I think dead south would be a hell of a show to see there, but it’s far enough away I’ll have to make plans in advance and make it one stop as part of a bigger trip.
-
@benjrblant
Agreed! Was there earlier this summer when they were still at limited capacity.
And was lucky enough to see Rush there a few years back but no pics or video of that. -
@benjrblant It is a great place. Gipsy Kings, Florence and the Machine, Macklemore, One Republic (free tickets yay), and Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats.
Also did Movies on the Rocks and got chased away by a storm. Outdoor venue problems.
-
@kiltedpadre whoa...
-
@benjrblant red rocks is worth a stop even if you only have 20 minutes and there are no shows going on
-
@benjrblant Red Rocks is definitely near the top of my list of things I miss about Colorado. It is a one of a kind place for sure.
