Track, Daily, Burn: Red Edition
-
Well, kinda red. These common themes are always a stretch.
Up first we have a Honda Fit in a familiar shade of accidental pink with an enlightening bumper sticker.
A short distance away we find another faded red Japanese car with a manual transmission.
Then we have a Mercury Grand Marquis with an exquisite wrap that managed to confuse and amaze in many different ways. It somehow transfers from racing theme to a vague anime theme so easily.
Anyways, which would you track, which would you daily, and which deserves to be burned?
-
@whoistheleader daily the fit, track the panther, burn the truck.
-
-
@whoistheleader daily the panther, autox the Fit, sell Toyota pickup for $35000
-
Track the Fit, daily the truck (today's trucks are 478524372 times bigger and stupid), and burn the Mercury (though normally I'm crazy about a Mercury).
-
@whoistheleader Daily the fit, track the Toyota, burn the Mercury.
-
@whoistheleader There's a Fit in the parking lot at work that's faded in the exact same way.
I was trying to figure out what building that is, but I can't from that angle.
Daily and Track Fit, burn everything else.
-
@whoistheleader That wrap cost more than the car did.
-
@whoistheleader Daily the Panther, track the truck, burn the Fit.
-
@whoistheleader Daily the Toyota, track the Fit as a B-spec car and burn the panther.
No one should be driving a panther unless being paid to do so, and frankly these days that would likely mean you're the fng at a podunk enough agency to still have P71s as anything other training fodder at the academy track.
-
track the ute, because rwd manual
daily the crown vic, because auto and still rwd and a bit of fun
burn the fit because cvts have no place in my life -
@whoistheleader
Daily the Honda, track the Toyota and burn the other thing. -

Does this change anything?
-
@frinesi2 @davesaddiction @facw I'm curious though as it seems to barely have more life in it than the Toyota and is less comfortable than the Vic.

Track the Fit
Arguably the most potential on track but probably the hardest to make fast. Hmmm.
-
@whoistheleader Track the truck, daily the Fit, and put that godawful Mercury out of my misery.
-
I reject your options and substitute my own.
Burn, daily, burn.
Fit, truck, wrap job, in that order.

It's behind Bunger Henry off of Tech Green.

oh! in that case i'm torn. fwd also has no place in my life, but would i take fwd+manual over rwd+auto? i am not sure. probably i would. that said the crown vic has a v8. but it's one of those v8s that doesn't really make any power. but it would still do a skid. but it's hideous.
god this is hard -
@nauraushaun I like to do Track Daily Burns where there are no good options. Yes, the Grand Marquis is an ugly, slow, inefficient vehicle that isn't super interesting to drive in stock form, but it has potential.
Though why does front wheel drive have no place in your life?
And just a thought, I'd love to see that sticker on a vehicle that only came in automatic.

lol. you'd wonder if it's someone who's very misguided, or of it's just a nice self burn.
i just think that oversteer is fun and understeer is depressing. a rwd car gets more exciting the harder you drive it, a fwd car slaps you on the wrist and tells you to stop having fun. i think the best part of driving is past the limit of grip, and fwd cars penalise you for doing that.
i get that they're compact for good packaging and safer for people who aren't interested in driving, and that makes them great for most people. but i'm more interested in fun than packaging, that's why i have an mr2! -
