Just had my CC info stolen. They tried to charge about 4 grand to it overnight and used my work email to send money to themselves. I have a receipt with a name, city, and phone number.

Not only because I have to change all my account and CC autopay information, but because I will have to deal with this as a work issue now.
Upset.
UPDATE: Looks like they remote logged into a windows machine early this morning. I had setup port forwarding for remote desktop because my class requires I run windows only software in class and I have a mac. I meant to close the port after I was finished but I left it open. Even still they would have needed my login credentials. Its also fully bad. Savings, checking, credit, etc. Changing ALL my passwords, credit monitoring, new checking/savings/credit card numbers...which means changing SO many things.

As terrible with money as I am now, things used to be worse. I never had any room on my credit cards, which saved me once or twice when someone tried to use that account information.

@hammerheadfistpunch That sucks man, I've had this happen to me a few times so now I have all my auto payments on a credit card I never use for anything else and a credit card for online purchases. It's saved me a lot of hassles having to update recurring account payments.
I keep buying Land Rovers because I don't have a problem and I can quit anytime I want.

That's annoying. I keep a low limit on the card I carry around with me specifically to avoid things like this.
So is the CC company going to cover the losses or are they saying it's on you?
