Other car is in the shop for a long list of deferred maintenance items, and also an exhaust rattle and worn bearing, so the senior citizen will be handling commute duties for the next few days.

Does look decent parked outside my office window.

Also, just found out I may need to head down into the quarry to collect a sample for a client who wants to do their own analysis. Should be fine.

I would love to daily a Corvair or maybe an old Mustang.

        Seriously jealous over here....

Never discount the possibility that you might live through it.

I find that when I put my old cars into daily driver duty, I appreciate them more. They're just doing what they were made to do, and they just work.

@green-truck The cars seem to appreciate it too! Everything is better when I'm driving it regularly.

@tripper The absolute worst thing you can do for a car is let it sit, they need to run.

I've never put anything away for the winter, and I'm not going to start now. As long as there isn't a recent salt coating on the roads, at least. DelDot does that in advance of snow predictions, but we dont get a whole lot of those, and it tends to wash away in the rain not long after.

@ranwhenparked I drove the Datsun again today, love driving that car to work, even if it's a short drive. It's like a cup of coffee of energy without the coffee.

And you may ask yourself, "Where does that highway go to?"

You're going to be the coolest rock inspector ever with that ride. May get the Corvair a bit dusty though.

@ranwhenparked The exhaust rattle bearings are always a pain to replace. I heard.

@darkbrador two issues - bad bearing on drivers side front wheel, and a loose exhaust shield. Both very annoying noises that need to be stopped
