Casey gonna Casey

As some of you may recall, I had an occasional post series going on Kinjoppo, "Make Casey Great Again", in which I shared the trials and tribulations of recommissioning a rusted-out 1970s Case 350 crawler which came with my property.
This is the last installment of that series, as I'm sad to report that Casey has now left the building.
In previous installments, I got him running and played with him for a bit, but since I've concreted the bit of my drive around the house, he's basically restricted to puttering up and down the driveway to the road, which is limitedly entertaining. The off-road parts of my property are probably crawler-navigable, but they're waaay to steep for me to try on a machine with no roll cage and untrustworthy brakes. So he's mostly been sitting round rusting. The builder who's been renovating my house has just bought himself a patch of land he needs to clear, so he's taken Casey off my hands.Of course, being Casey, he didn't go easy. As they were maneuvering him to get him on the trailer, he threw a track again.
Fortunately I've done that before, so was able to explain the track refitting procedure (which involves sledgehammers, crowbars, and lots of cussing). And equally fortunately, the trailer they'd bought to take him away was being towed behind a tractor, which was beefy enough to push him sideways and get the offending track far enough off the ground to get some baulks of wood underneath (track off the ground is an essential ingredient to refitting it, and since he weighs 3.5 tons, it ain't easy without heavy machinery).
So 4 hours labour later, he's on the trailer and gone.
Pity - a bulldozer's a fun toy, and great for the gearhead cred. But at least he's going to someplace he'll do some good. Bye, Casey.

@distraxi a dozer with a 3 in 1 bucket is a sight to behold. Fair to say though that this is a good move for everyone involved. After all, real life is not a museum.

Bloody useful, too. Pulls fenceposts out like nobody's business. Bite it, yank it out, drop it, and move on to the next one. None of this pissing about with chains.

@distraxi Probably for the best, but still kinda sad.
