"Knowingly or not we are all prisoners of the years...
...the seasons, the tides, the cycle of the moon, the axis of the sun, light and dark."
Which is a longwinded and psudo-profound way of saying "It's my Birthday!".

@skyfire77 Happy birthday!
My dad's birthday too, when he was alive. He'd have been 79 today.
@roundbadge My condolences.
@skyfire77 Thanks, but no worries.
I've had almost 30 years to come to terms with his passing. He was...only a couple of years older than I am now...oh jeez...
@roundbadge Oof, 49? If you don't mind me asking, what happened? Illness? Accident?
@skyfire77 Cardiac Arrythmia (due to congenital heart defect), had a heart attack shortly after enjoying his post-wake-up cigarette. He was playing in a golf tournament that day...one of the members of that foursome ended up being his undertaker.
Stop it! This is your day!

Based on your post title, you may need some Alan Watts lectures on Taoism

@roundbadge I know, it's a bit too heavy for the day. It's just that, like yourself, I'm only cough, mumble years from that age myself, and was caught by how young that was.
