You have no idea how pleased I am to say that...

Who thought road tripping could be so potentially fatal?

No thanks to that utter fuck knuckle in the Ford Ranger who just couldn't wait...I hope you learnt something because fuck me that was close..

not us fortunately this was not us...

Saints preserve us from people trying to go somewhere in a hurry. Caravans are nothing on these dipshits....

I told my fellow Jeep club leaders that I was more worried about safety on the back road trips I organized than at the off-road parks. Locals always seem to drive as if knowing exactly where every blind corner is means that you also know no one is coming around that corner.

            On walkabout. Back soonish.

@just-jeepin this was on the open highway after we'd already had a couple of close passes from numpties on the back roads getting there...

Along with seeing the rescue chopper, ambulance and highway patrol scraping the latest old bloke motorcycle heart attack victim like me off the road...🙄

@silentbutnotreallydeadly just nuts how many risks people are taking since the roads have been a bit quieter

Holy shit dude, that's a nasty accident. Did the people in each car make it out okay or is that tbd? Regardless, glad you're alright.

Nothing pisses me off more than impatient drivers who like to ride my ass while I'm going well above the posted speed limit (as all drivers do in FL), then merge right (without using their blinkers, of course), and then zipping by only to merge back into the left lane after getting as close to me as possible, forcing me to slow down so that I can keep a safe following distance... Dealt with a lot of those dipshits yesterday during my 7 hours of nonconsecutive driving... Grr... people...

Some journalist told me about this site. Now I own three cars.

My recollection is that this incident resulted in serious injuries but no death. Vehicles in fatal accidents are rarely shown in our media...

You have to assume that the driving idiocy will get worse as we get closer to the Christmas holidays.

@manwich absolutely...which is why we don't plan to roadtrip until 2021. Because 2021 will HAVE to be safer for sure...🤔

@silentbutnotreallydeadly Had a close call coming back from dinner tonight - pitch black with no street lamps, narrowly missed being T-boned by a black Versa running without headlights. Tip - if you don't keep your headlights set on automatic, and you didn't turn them on yourself when you got in the car, that means they're OFF.
