You want Christmas logos? Of course you do!
-
It's that time again, where the @Curators put up seasonal logos designed by all of you. Below, you can see the conversation and logos from last year, and we will shortly be putting those old ones in the holiday rotation for your entertainment.
But, we thought you creative types might like to add to the catalogue. Well, if you feel so inclined, now is the time to do it! Here is what you need to know to submit your Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanza/Festivus/et al-themed artwork:
-
You can submit your art at any size or resolution, because we will resize it to fit the banner, but you need to make sure it looks good at no more than 60 pixels tall and a maximum of 200 pixels wide.
-
Our readers use light and dark themes, so your logo should look good with either background. This means most of the time that you will want to make it on a transparent background. If that's a pain for you to do with your tools, I'll do it for you.
-
It should be original, that is to say, don’t just hang a sprig of holly on the regular Oppo logo and call it a day or recolor it red and green. Try and make something different. Be creative. Also, please don't use anyone's copyrighted art. We're not for profit here, and we all grab stuff off the internet for our posts all the time, but this isn't the time for that.
-
Deadline is whenever. The sooner we get logos to show, the sooner they go up. You can post them to this thread if you want or send the file to me at chariotoflove123@gmail.com
-
And finally, I should remind you that anything you give us should be considered public domain. We don't have any ability to protect your copyright for anything you make.
If I forgot anything you need to know or have any comments, put them below as usual. Merry Christmas, friends!

Idea for the better artists: baubles for the Os, candy canes for the Ps.

Candy canes will feature in my entry. Shepherd’s crooks are also good for the more religious-themed ideas.
-
@chariotoflove and let's not forget Festivus, people!
The airing of grievances is my favorite holiday tradition.
-
Wreaths on Jeep spare tires is the obvious answer for the Os; the Ps are trickier, although Jeep tube doors do bear some resemblance.
Anyway, I'm more of an idea rat.

I actually started making one way back but never finished I might have to finish it now.

For sure!
-
You can crop it for the banner, or I can resend.
-
@exage03040 That’s awesome!
-
@exage03040 I think if you split up season’s and greetings and put each word on either side of the cane stems, We can crop it better to use the banner space to maximum effect. What do you think?

Can do, here's a cropped mini:
at 60x135
And the full
It's saved in shop so if you want to change say the writing to white to stand out more for the mini, I can do that.
-
@exage03040 Awesome.
