Dad says if I wait until spring he’ll patch up the rust hole by the wheel well for me. -
Did you remove the steering rear wheels, it seems to be a common and desired thing for Preludes.
Honda did all that work to make the car hold the road more yet it's desirable to disable the steering of the rear wheels to make it move drivable. -

I’m not as good at prelude specs as @interstate366 but I believe this gen either had anti-lock brakes or 4ws and this car did not have the 4ws option.

Okay.
@svend Did that gen have rear wheel steering?
Honda made it for the third gen Prelude from 1987-8.
But as Smobgirl says, apparently not all Preludes had it. -

@interstate366 now I need to build a garage for it
Only car I’ve had besides the Fiat that still has enough paint to photograph well.
-
@smobgirl what a handsome car, enjoy it. Throwback to the early 1009’s this was the first car I ever autocrossed that had power steering. While I wasn’t that impressed with the power the steering and handling was fantastic and I felt I could easily beat our 240z with a prelude.
-
@smobgirl This is good spam. As a teen, this was on my short list of cars I always wanted to own. I was sad when they stopped making them.
-
@chariotoflove If Honda was still making a car like the Prelude my most recent new car would have been a Honda (which would have made it three new Hondas in a row).

Even the Accord coupe, if they still made it, wouldn’t be the same.

@smobgirl Very cool! Get that rust patched and rock the heck out of that thing, it's awesome!
My only real Prelude memory was when I was in the Navy, in Nuke School, this guy I knew had one. After we had been there a couple months we were allowed to have cars on base, and this guy had his folks ship him is Prelude. I got to go for a ride, it was a nice car and pretty quick. But within like 2 weeks of getting it he got arrested for doing like 100 down Rt. 26 in Charleston, SC and then he wasn't allowed to have a car on base anymore!

@chariotoflove I desperately wanted a fifth gen many, many years ago and ended up with a used Civic because it’s all I could afford. Now that I’ve joined the Church of Pop-up Headlights I’m very excited to get my hands on an older one.

I shall live vicariously though you.

@smobgirl nice. Hondas of that era are amazing. Japanese BMWs, but, you know, reliable.
