To play a little catch up, I fitted this little guy as a place to mount a set of KC halogens. Worked fine besides the constant jiggling that occurred since the bumper is not a stable place to mount lights.

I upgraded to a Bull bar

Mounting it was a little...odd. The brackets it came with give you some flexibility on where it goes. It more clamps to the subframe vs actually mounting it to the frame.

I decided to hold off on wiring in the LEDs to the halogen circuit for a later time. But the KCs fit like a glove.

That's a less than convincing mount but it does the job! Is it really just clamped to the frame or am I missing some through-bolts?

Also as of 1 July 2020 that front plate isn't required 😉

@mm54 no through bolts. All clamps. I’m hoping that one subframe bolt next to the clamp bolts help keep it from shifting a bit. May have to do some welding later on.

And I like the plate. OHIO BEEF

@i86hotdogs I love the push bar, but I feel like it should be black....
              Definitely looks bad ass regardless.
When are the lights going on the roof?

@i86hotdogs the bar mounts only clamp to the frame to allow the bar to move somewhat in the event you hit something, especially at low speed. If it is tightly fitted then it will act as a chassis extension outside the normal 'crumple zone' and the airbags will trigger at far lighter impacts than they might otherwise.

Ours is not to reason why...merely to point and giggle.

@long_voyager94 I couldn’t find one in black unfortunately. But I do agree. Maybe I’ll do some painting later on.

Lights are coming. Not sure when. But they’re coming.

@i86hotdogs Chrome can be painted, or better yet, powder coated 😉

Wonder what something like this would look like? b3f215b1-6b3a-4dad-b92a-01da5387b509-image.png

Whoda thunk you could beef up a van while adding lightness at the same time!

@long_voyager94 I think that would look spectacular.
