F-4EJ Kai 17-8440, the last of 5,195 F-4 Phantom IIs ever made, made its final flight this Tuesday from Hyakuri Air Base to Hamamatsu Air Base, where it will be preserved at the JASDF museum there. A video of its arrival and other recent Phantom photo-ops can be found here -

Last one made, but not the last operated right? IIRC at least Turkey and South Korea are still flying them?

@facw I think Iran still uses them, too. US production ended in 1979, but Mitsubishi continued to build them under license in Japan until 1981
