@thejwt that would be the prettiest tree decoration if I bought that, just in time for Christmas!
-
Seems like a good beginner ride! Nothing could possibly go wrong there...
-
Seems spendy.
-
YES. BUY IT!!!!
and by yes, I mean no. That's a hilariously bad idea, as you surely know.
-
@snuze It would make an excellent ender bike too
-
It's not a cafe racer so I say go for it!
-
GPS-based traction control, wheelie control, blended brakes, lean control, multiple engine maps, and who knows what other kind of tech wizardry?
Sounds like a PERFECT beginner's bike!
(Were they doing all that in 2003? How old is ASIMO?)

Around 1991 when I was looking at buying my first bike, advice I got from multiple people was "Don't get anything bigger than a 500." Looking through the Buy&Sell I saw a bike that seemed like a good candidate. A Suzuki RG500...
Fortunately I did my research and found out that would have been not the best choice for a beginner. Even the RZ-350 I bought was really too wild for me.
-
@nowhere hahaha hilarious! nothing bigger than a 500cc....... 2-stroke? hmmmm ok!
-
@kleebrz At first I just assumed "500CC, Japanese sport bike? Should be equivalent to the VFR500 that I was told would be a good first bike" Even compared to a fast bike of today the RG is still plenty crazy due to the way it hands you the power. Nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, EVERYTHING! The RZ had an addictive rush in the last few thousand RPM before redline but it was easy to ride below that power band and the transition was gentle enough to allow even a beginner to control it. My riding style (extreme coward) would have suited a four stroke single better but I didn't know about the SRX6 back then and Honda never even sold the GB500 here in Canada as far as I know.
