Actually shes very sweet and will make a great dog for someone, she's just a little too high strung for this house. But we don't mind her crashing here for a while until she finds her furever home.

@vincentmalamute She has settled in pretty well. She really, really wants to play with Ozzy though, she tries constantly, and he just doesn't play. She annoys the crap out of him, but he is a very kind, patient dog. So it's not the best situation for either, but it works for now, and it certainly beats just letting her get put to sleep, which was what was going to happen. The rescue picked her up this past Saturday morning, if they hadn't she was going be put to sleep that night.

You are a goddamn HERO !!!!!! 100% serious - mad respect here. Thank you for saving that beautiful pup.

If I had the ability, I would adopt her myself - but I have a house full of rescues ( 2 dogs, and 2 cats) already.

@trivet Thank you. But we're just trying to help out. Someone fostered Ozzman for us, and he's been a wonderful addition to our lives, so we're just trying to pay it forward.

What I'd like to do is be the driver that goes to the kill shelters to save the animals. I'm thinking take the Camaro and remove the rear seats, extend the roof straight back and give it a rear hatch, Ferrari Bread Van style, then I could fit a few crates for doggos back there. And with 455 HP on tap, I could be there in a flash to pick them up and bring them back to VA.

Dogs excited to be at the park. I don't know why they're still willing to get into my car ... it usually means a trip to the vet, whereas my wife's the one who takes them to fun places.

That was helpful. Since the 'D' was not there in the comments area, I turned off my adblockers and it was Privacy Badger preventing me from see any comments.

I find working for shelters difficult - I'm overly sensitive. Being a driver might be a way I could help. I can't imagine how many crates would fit in my cargo Transit. I imagine the issue is going to be who will be able to accept them all, especially with the pandemic. I used to help foster with Illinois Alaskan Malamute Rescue when I was in Milwaukee.
