@manwich Haha my commute was 10 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of driving in circles to get to the permit parking floor at my school... This lot is just badly designed lol

Pro tip: when you're taking a pic of something backlit like this, make sure to tap on the subject (i.e. the car) first before you take the picture. This way your phone will expose for the car and not for the background. Here's a little shadow recovery attempt though.

@texturedsoyprotein Oh I know, the underexposure was a deliberate artistic choice on my end I took like five shots at different shutter speeds (manual Halide app on my phone), just ended up liking the moody silhouette with the trees and headlights/overhead light as the defining visuals of the frame.

the world needs more parking garages. lots are such a damn waste of space. Its completely impossible for urban planning to build parking lots everywhere. Its especially a problem here in Los Angeles. Idk how people live in apartment buildings without giant garages here, street parking is awful.

@wrong-wheel-drive and, then, you've got places like Philadelphia, where real estate speculators buy up and demolish nice old buildings and leave them as surface parking lots to reduce the amount of property tax they need to pay until they're ready to flip or develop the site. I don't think there's any other big city with that much parking lot acreage anywhere.

fast corners in a car are fun, but have you ever drifted a full-size truck around a long curve and watched the people behind you (who were following too closely in a snowstorm) panic break and spin out as you rooster tailed snow a dozen feet in the air while cackling maniacally?
