        Usually 80 y/o driver couldn't figure out which one was brake pedal.

              Sadly, there exist people much younger than 80 and also afraid enough of driving but not enough to take the bus who would do this.

                The side of the car acted like a Jersey Barrier somehow. You could do the same thing with a regular car but the crossover sized tires mean it can contact the upper part of the convex surface easier.
