Goodbye, my love
-
Rental review will be up tomorrow. The short of it: I get how they’ve sold this without major updates for the last decade and a half.
-
@cb What engine do the rental specs get?
-
@qaaaaa V6 and AWD.
-
@cb Did you still manage to break the rear end loose?
-
@cb My FIL has the 300 with the same combo. He loves it.
That v6 is a good motor moves that 300 pretty well. -
@cb they're good cars, brent
-
@cb don't scare me like that! I thought this was about something important
-
@qaaaaa I've gotten a 5.7 V8 RWD spec as a rental
-
@poor_sh No, that post unfortunately will be coming sooner rather than later.
-
@whoistheleader No.
-
@cb Still basically an old E-class chassis, right?
-
-
@vondon302 and delivers a real 30mpg highway, which I still say is not bad at all for cars this size
-
@cb I've driven a V6 AWD. VERY competent. And a long hood to look over. It does really make sense how they keep selling, not counting bros that want muscle cars.
-
@cb Do they still have that stupid shifter that auto-returns without positive engagement. I had a 300 as a rental a few years ago with that setup and it was infuriating!
-
The Charger and Challenger are basically the only cars with a trunk that fits goalie gear. Of course, there are many hatchbacks that do it better.
When I test drove multiple Scat Pack Challengers, the size was manageable, it was comfortable, and it was competently quick. I never did drive a Charger, though. The Mustangs I've driven are a hard no for hockey usage.
-
Had one as a rental for work last year, it was a V8 red, but yeah a fine car. Fit 4 full grown adult men no problem.
-
@cb
I rented a Charger GT V6 AWD in the past as well. It's a pretty nice car. -
@cb Looking forward to it! I am not a big car guy, or a domestic brands buy, but I do REALLY like the Charger. I actually quite like the sportier trims of 300 as well (considering they are the same car underneath!)
-
@huzer That's the most Canadian test criteria since the small Tim Hortons coffee cup test.
